All meetings of the Board of Education are open to members of the public unless publicly noticed as confidential as allowed by the law (Education Code Section 35147). Members of the public may address the Board as outlined in the Hearing Section of the agenda. All meetings are recorded and a member of the public may be held liable for any slanderous or otherwise defamatory statements. a. The Board has adopted Board Policy 9323(b) to ensure the public's right to be heard in any matters pertaining to the San Marino Unified School District. We respectfully request that if you would like to address the Board of Education about any matter, you complete a REQUEST TO ADDRESS THE BOARD card and submit it to the Superintendent prior to the start of the meeting or to the Assistant to the Superintendent during the meeting. Five minutes may be allotted to each speaker and a maximum of 20 minutes to each subject matter.

a. Local Control Accountability Plan 2015-2018      (D)  (V)  
  The District's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is presented for review and approval. The LCAP was developed based on the school sites' Single Plans for Student Achievement, School Accountability Report Cards, results from parent/student surveys, and input from the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC), the LCAP Advisory Committee and the Academics Advisory Committee.  Projected budget amounts have been included under the Actions and Services Sections of the LCAP.  The report was updated based on comments from the DELAC, the LCAP Advisory Committee, the Governing Board and other stakeholder groups.

  The 2015-16 Proposed District Budget and Long-Range Financial Projections for fiscal years 2016-17 and 2017-18 are presented for review and approval.

b. Agreement with LPA Architects to Provide Architectural and Engineering Services for the Huntington Middle School Athletic Complex Project         (D)  (V)  
  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an agreement with LPA Architects for the Huntington Middle School Athletic Complex Project.

c. Agreement with Placeworks for CEQA Requirements for the Huntington Middle School Athletic Complex Project         (D)  (V)  
  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an agreement with Placeworks to prepare California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) assessments for the Huntington Middle School Athletic Complex Project.

d. Agreement with the City of San Marino for Use of the San Marino High School Pool      (D)  (V)  
  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Agreement for use of the San Marino High School pool with the City of San Marino. This agreement will be effective July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2019. The City will pay the District $21,600 a year for the routine maintenance and operation costs of the pool. In future years a CPI factor adjustment will be applied to the City's payment. In the event that major maintenance is required, the City and District will meet to discuss the required major maintenance.

  It is recommended that the Governing Board approve an Employment Contract for the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the period from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018.

  It is recommended that the Governing Board approve an Employment Contract for the Chief Technology Officer for the period from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018.

  The Governing Board will consider for approval an Employment Contract Addendum for the Superintendent with respect to the period from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016.

e. Proposed 2015-16 Management and Administrative Salary and Benefit Adjustments      (D)  (V)  
  It is proposed that the Management and Administrative Salary Schedules be adjusted by 3.50% effective July 1, 2015. Additionally, it is proposed that the District fund the increase in employee contributions for management and administrative employees for the 2015-16 fiscal year.
